Maiastra alumni are winners at UK intercollegiate competition

The Fibonacci Quartet won first prize at the 2023 Cavatina Intercollegiate Chamber Music Competition

The Fibonacci Quartet were declared winners of the 2023 Cavatina Intercollegiate Chamber Music Competition held on 19th May at the Wigmore Hall, London. The Fibonacci Quartet, representing the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, recevied £600 as part of their award.

Two of the Fibonacci members have taken part in Maiastra courses in the past. Violinst Kryštof Kohout was coached by Arisa Fujita on the March/April course this year and violist Elliot Kempton performed with Bartosz Woroch in January 2022.
